'Jodi Ekdin' is all set for a mammoth record in its third week of release. In the first two weeks it has garnered enough plaudits from regular theatre goers and critics alike in Bangladesh. Now in its third week starting from tomorrow the film will be released in Canada. The first week in Canada will see one hundred and ninety six shows. This is a record for a Bangladeshi film getting released in overseas market. Swapna Scarecrow will release the film in Canadian cities of Toronto, Ottawa, Ontario, Mississauga, Edmonton, Vancouver, Winnipeg and Saskatoon. Advanced tickets were released on March 20.

Syed Salahuddin, CEO of Swapna Scarecrow has confirmed the news. Jodi Ekdin will become the fourteenth Bangladeshi film to be released overseas. Md Oliullah Shajib said that previously 'Debi' beat the record of Aynabazi at Canadian box office and now family drama Jodi Ekdin looks to break even this record. Jodi Ekdin has been directed by Mohammad Mostafa Kamal Raz and produced by Bengal Multimedia. It is the first film from Bengal Multimedia. Tahsaan has debuted in the silver screen with the film while Tollywood actress Srabonti has for the first time appeared in a complete Bangladeshi production through the film.
