Breakfast at Tiffany's is an Old Hollywood film, released in 1961. Breakfast at Tiffany's was directed by Blake Edwards and was written by George Axelrod. The film is based on the novella, Breakfast at Tiffany's, by Truman Capote. The novella was published in 1958.
The lead actress in the film is Audrey Hepburn. The lead actor in the film is George Peppard. Audrey Hepburn's character is Holly Golightly, a glamorous socialite in New York. George Peppard's character is Paul Varjak, a writer.
The pinnacle of the film is the first scene. In this scene Holly Golightly steps out of a taxi during early morning. Holly walks outside of Tiffany and Co. wearing a tiara, a jewelry set, and a black gown with gloves. The stylish gown Audrey Hepburn wore in this scene was designed by Givenchy. Audrey Hepburn's aura is incredible in this scene. Holly next takes her breakfast out of her paper bag and eats her breakfast. In this scene Holly eats a croissant and drinks coffee. Holly looks at the windows of Tiffany and Co. then walks to her apartment. There Holly's date from the night before approaches her.
Later in this film Paul Varjak rings Holly's doorbell to get into the apartment building. This wakes up Holly. Then Holly and Paul meet. Holly thinks Paul is attractive. Holly and Paul talk with each other. Later that night Holly climbs out of her apartment and goes into Paul's apartment. Holly and Paul speak to each other. Holly finds out Paul is a writer.
Later Holly cries and leaves Paul's apartment. One memorable scene is the party scene at Holly's apartment. At the party Holly, Paul, and the guests partied with champagne and cigarettes. The story continues about Holly and Paul interacting with each other. Towards the end in one scene Holly breaks things in her apartment.
In the end of the film Paul kisses Holly affectionately. The film was directed amazingly by Blake Edwards. Audrey Hepburn received a Best Actress Oscar nomination for her acting in Breakfast at Tiffany's.
The film garnered five Oscar nominations. Audrey Hepburn and George Peppard showed great chemistry in Breakfast at Tiffany's. Breakfast at Tiffany's was released during the Golden Age of Hollywood.
