Country's esteemed cultural activist, politician and actor Asaduzzaman Noor, for his bold contribution to the advancement of drama, has received 'Professor Momtazuddin Ahmed Natyajon Puroshkar' on January 18. The honorary award was given for the first time marking the 86th birth anniversary of the renowned dramatist late Momtazuddin Ahmed.
The award, in the form of crest, was handed over to Asaduzzaman Noor through an award giving ceremony, which was held at the Abdul Karim Shahitto Bisharod auditorium of Bangla Academy, in the city. ABM Khairul Haque, chairman of Law Commision, attended the award giving ceremony as the chief guest. Noted artist Shahabuddin Ahmed was present as the special guest on the occasion.
