The latest iteration of the Cosmos Dialogues tackled the issue of relations between two friendly nations, Australia and Bangladesh, covering the gamut of bilateral ties spanning trade, aid and investment, people-to-people contacts, and the Rohingya crisis. As usual, the top-drawer expert panel's deliberations were followed by a very lively and enriching plenary, a credit to the overall attendance that reflected the cream of the Dhaka-based intelligentsia. Afterwards, most participants - even those who disagreed, got together to unwind in the evening, a picture of joie de vivre.
