Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Pranay Verma met Prime Minister Tarique Rahman on Monday morning and discussed different bilateral issues.
The meeting was held at the Prime Minister's Office at the Secretariat, beginning around 9:30am, said his Press Secretary Saleh Shibly.
"The Indian High Commissioner paid a courtesy call on the Prime Minister," he said.
Shibly said the issues related to strengthening relations between Bangladesh and India were discussed during the meeting.
Foreign Minister Dr Khalilur Rahman and Prime Minister's Foreign Affairs Adviser Humaiun Kobir were present at the meeting.
The Indian High Commissioner also presented the Prime Minister with a book and a showpiece.
