Directed by Piplu Khan 'Hasina: A Daughter's Tale' tells the stories of sorrow, personal mementos, relationships of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. Piplu Khan claims that the film is not a biopic but the story of the daughter of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and her sister Sheikh Rehana. The film shows how the two sisters escape the bloodbath that saw their rest of the family killed in 1975 and how Sheikh Hasina goes on to confront her past and grow confident in life. Piplu claims that while not highlighting her great leadership role the film would show Sheikh Hasina as a fighting human spirit.
