The first 3D film of the country is under production. Named 'Alatchakra' the film is being directed by Habibur Rahman with grants from the government. Based on the Liberation War of 1971 the first phase of the film has already been shot. The protagonists of the film will be played by Ahmed Rubel and Joya Ahsan. Other notable actors are Mamunur Rashid, Gazi Mahtab Hasan, Akram Khan and some students of dramatics from different universities among others.
Skywork Studio, known for working behind the scenes in the 3D department of South Indian film '2.0' starring Rajnikanth, has undertaken the task of rendering Alatchakra into 3D format. It has been learnt that the film production will soon reach its editing phase after completion of shooting.
