Noted cultural organisations, including Chhayanaut, welcomed Bangla New Year 1425 on April 14 hoping to erase grimy staffs and wipe out back-dated garbage gathered in previous year as well as to welcome the newish, youthful and beauty with the hope of a better future.
At least 150 singers under the banyan tree in Ramna Park were probing these through Bangla songs and Bangla poem recitation. Thousands of visitors was bristling from early morning in Ramna park to start the first day with the performance of the prominent cultural organisation. Every year Chhayanaut arranges the welcoming programme which is a five decades' tradition where many artists of their institution welcome the Nababarsho under the banyan tree. The theme of this year's programme was 'Search for the roots in light of the globalisation' and through the slogan they want to create values against brutal mentality as well as distribute it among the young generation.
