It was a fitting evening to follow on the heels of the start to the Ambassador Lecture Series, a new initiative as part of the Cosmos Dialogues, that focused on relations between Bangladesh and the European Union, with a view to setting out a 'prognosis for the future'. Apart from the participants in the day's dialogue, the reception in the evening at the residence of Cosmos Foundation Chairman Enayetullah Khan was graced by the presence of a cross section of the intelligentsia in Dhaka, including past and present diplomats, academics, artists, journalists and captains of industry. The mild winter weather proved very accommodating, as a good time was had by all, whether one wished to carry on the day's conversation or explore new ground altogether.
