IFIC Bank Limited arranged 'IFIC Bank Sahitya Puroshkar 2016' and 'Sahitya-Ratna Sommanona 2018' on September 22 at IFIC Tower, Purana Paltan in the city.
Khosru Chowdhury for his book 'Sundarboner Bagher Pichu Pichu' and Shakoor Majid for 'Pherauner Gram' won the IFIC Bank Sahitya Puroshkar 2016.
At the same time, one of the pioneer of short-story writer and novelist of Bangladesh Hasan AzizulHuq received the first-ever 'Sahitya-Ratna Sommanona' in 2018 for his immense contributions to Bangla literature.
Governor of Bangladesh Bank Fazle Kabir graced the occasion as chief guest while renowned industrialist and vice chairman of Beximco Group Salman F Rahman and Shah A Sarwar, managing director of IFIC Bank and other high officials and invited guests were present at the award giving ceremony.
On the occasion the eminent short-story writer cum novelist Hasan Azizul Huq has been awarded 'Sahitya-Ratna Sommanona' and received TK 10 lac. Writers Khosru Chowdhury and Shakoor Majid have got TK 5 lac each with crests and certificates.
