Film artistes and associations have come to the aid of the destitute artistes and low income people amid the coronavirus outbreak.
Bangladesh Film Artistes' Association, Young Star and artistes including Moushumi, Omor Sani, Apu Bishwas and others have taken initiatives to help the marginalised people.
Bangladesh Film Artistes' Association have distributed food and essential supplies among destitute artistes. Besides, the association plans to provide financial assistance to the artistes.
On Friday, Moushumi and Omor Sani, through their fan club, handed over essential food items along with hand sanitizers and masks to 150 people.
In this dreadful time of corona pandemic, Apu Biswas distributed necessary supplies among the poor on Friday. She handed over bags of goods to the low-income people including rickshaw pullers at Bashundhara residential area.
A group of nine young artistes namely 'Young Star' distributed food and essential supplies among the helpless people at Aftabnagar and Rampura bridge area on Friday.
They distributed 200 bags of supplies comprising rice, pulses, onions, potatoes, oil, salt, masks and hand gloves.
Film artistes Joy Chowdhury, Nadeem, Bipasha Kabir, Achal, Shirin Shila, Romana Nir, Zara Tyra and Sarkar Majumder distributed the goods.
