United News of Bangladesh (UNB) has signed an agreement with Agenzia Nova of Italy to develop bilateral professional cooperation in the media environment for strengthening collaboration between Bangladesh and Italy.
The cooperation agreement was signed by Enayetullah Khan, editor-in-chief of UNB and Fabio Squillante, CEO of Agenzia Nova this week.
The two news organisations plan to pursue projects aimed at development of the information space, the promotion of objective and professional reporting on cultural, humanitarian, economic, sports and political issues. The aim is to strengthen the information flows, mutual understanding and convenience of the two peoples.
Under the deal the two leading news organisations will use their accumulated experience for succeeding in the implementation of various projects.
Launched in 1988 UNB is the first privately owned digital news agency in Bangladesh as well as in South Asia. The country's largest private wire service has news exchange and cooperation agreements with global news organisations such as The Associated Press (AP), Xinhua and Ansa.
