Md Rezanur Rahman, additional secretary of the Power Division, has been appointed as the new chairman of Petrobangla, the state's hydrocarbons agency, according to a notification from the Ministry of Public Administration today.
A 17th-batch officer of the BCS (administration) cadre, Rezanur had earlier served as the director general of the Anti-Corruption Commission before his posting in the Power Division.
He replaces Zanendra Nath Sarker, who has been reassigned as the chairman of the Bangladesh Rubber Board.
