Noted director Amitabh Reza Chowdhury has already made his return to make commercials. The latest news is that he has started directing a short film. This can be argued to be his first short film. It has been made for online streaming platform iflix. The shooting will end today and then move into post-production phase before it is uploaded on iflix. The film is about the 'child servants of our households.'
Named "Nisshongotar Shahar" the film zooms in on the dreamy word of a young girl 'Riddhi' who happens to work for an urban family to earn livelihood. The film would explore the independent soul of Riddhi. Amitabh Reza Chowdhury has apparently become emotional for this new project. He says that he has been preserving the story for seven-eight years. It has developed a place in his heart. Now that he can bring it to screens he feels relieved. He also thanks online platforms that provide opportunities for filmmakers to tell their stories in their own ways. This effort is prospective and inspiring, he said.
