Artcell, one of the leading progressive metal bands of Bangladesh, has brightened up the country's rock music scenario through its alluring songs and compositions. To celebrate the 20th founding anniversary of Artcell, the band is going to bring out its solo concert entitled '20 Years of Artcellism' on December 24. Produced by Asiatic Experiential Marketing Limited, the special concert is scheduled to be held at International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB) Expo Zone, in the city.
Artcell marked its inception on October 23 in 1999. The band was founded by George Lincoln D'Costa (vocalist/guitarist), Kazi Shazzadul Asheqeen Shaju (drummer), Saef Al Nazi Cezanne (Bassist) and Ershad Zaman (lead guitarist). Since its inception, the band has launched two studio albums titled 'Onno Shomoy' and 'Oniket Prantor' so far. Throughout these 20 years, the band has produced some masterpiece songs like 'Oniket Prantor', 'Obosh Onubhutir Deyal', 'Chile Kothar Shepai', 'Dukkho Bilash', 'Odekha Shorgo', 'Onno Shomoy', 'Dushor Shomoy', 'Poth Chola', 'Rahur Grash', 'Rupok', 'Shahid Shoroni', 'Chhayar Ninad', 'Ey Bidaaye' and more for the fans and listeners. Due to internal issues, former lead guitarist of the band Ershad Zaman left the band last year. The lead guitarist Kazi Faisal Ahmed has joined the band in place of Ershad from last year. The current line-up of the band features George Lincoln D'Costa (vocal/guitar), Kazi Shazzadul Asheqeen Shaju (drums), Saef Al Nazi Cezanne (bass) and Kazi Faisal Ahmed (lead guitar).
