Edward M Kennedy (EMK) Center for Public Service and Arts celebrated their seventh founding anniversary on Monday. The event was held on the premises of EMK centre in the capital's Dhanmondi area.

US ambassador to Bangladesh Earl Miller attended the programme as the chief guest.

While speaking on the occasion Earl Miller said, "EMK center is a very special and unique platform. This is one of the most significant US outreach platforms anywhere in the world." "Since its opening in 2012, nearly 400,000 people have visited the place," he added.

University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB)'s School of Business's Dean and special advisor to the ULAB Board of Trustees Professor Imran Rahman, EMK Center's Acting Director Asif Uddin Ahmed, Head of DAISY Bangladesh and Young Power in Social Action (YPSA)'s Programme Manager Vashkar Bhattacharjee and Alokito Hridoy Foundation's Chairperson Azwa Nayeem, among others, were present on the occasion.

Founded in 2012 through a partnership between the Liberation War Museum and the American Center of US Embassy in Dhaka, the EMK Center is a non-partisan platform committed to open dialogue, informed action, individual and artistic expression, and personal and professional development.
