For the first time ahead of its much awaited grand inauguration on June 25th, all 415 lampposts installed on the 6.15-kilometre Padma Bridge were lit together for the first time at 6:30pm on Tuesday. It made for a spectacular site and jubilant people living along its bank flocked near the bridge from the evening hours. Padma Bridge project director Shafiqul Islam lit up the bridge by switching on 175-watt LED lights at all the 415 lampposts of the Padma Bridge on trial basis.
