The Bangladesh National Football team started their training session ahead of the qualification round-2 matches of the FIFA World Cup' 2026 at the Bashundhara Kings Arena in Dhaka on Monday evening.
Bangladesh will play their second round Group I away match against the World Cup against a stronger Australia in Melbourne on November 16.
Bangladesh is likely to fly for Melbourne on November 10 after conducting a short training camp in Dhaka under Spanish Head Coach Javier Cabrera before their final practice session in Melbourne.
Soon after returning from Australia, the Bangladesh team will play their home match of the AFC Cup against Lebanon on November 21 at Bashundhara Kings Arena in Dhaka.
Bangladesh earned the rights to play in the six-match home and away basis Group I matches of the FIFA World Cup's Asian qualifiers with Australia, Lebanon, and Palestine, eliminating the Maldives in the round 1 match last month.
Earlier, the preliminary selected booters of the Bangladesh team, except the booters of Bashundhara King, reported to team manager Amer Khan on Monday morning at the Hotel Amari in the capital to join the residential camp.
Bangladesh team captain Jamal Bhuyan, who is playing in the 3rd Division Football League in Argentina, reached Dhaka Monday morning to join the national camp.
