Chargé d'Affaires (CDA) of the High Commission of Singapore to Bangladesh, Mitchel Lee, hosted a National Day reception at Sheraton on 21 September, bringing together members of the Bangladesh Government, the Diplomatic Corps, and friends of Singapore to celebrate Singapore's 61st National Day.

The reception was graced by Shaikh Rabiul Alam, Minister of Road Transport, Bridges, Railways and Shipping of the People's Republic of Bangladesh.

Guests enjoyed an authentic taste of Singapore, thanks to Chef Daniel Liu, who travelled from Singapore to Bangladesh with specially sourced ingredients from our little red dot. Featuring chicken rice, laksa, rendang, nasi lemak and other local favourites, the evening offered guests a delicious journey through Singapore's rich and diverse food culture.

The reception also provided an opportunity to welcome incoming Chargé d'affaires Mr Philip Ong, who will officially assume his responsibilities in October.

The High Commission extends its heartfelt thanks to everyone who joined us and helped make the evening a memorable celebration of Singapore, its people and our close ties with Bangladesh.
