Soon after the programme began at 6 pm, some 70-80 activists of Bangladesh Chhatra league allegedly swooped on the stage smashing chairs and music instruments.

"The followers of Saddam Hussein in Sargent Johrul Houqe hall, Kabi Jasimuddin hall and Dhaka College Chhatra League joined the attack", he added.
Saddam denied his supporters were involved.
"I do not know about this. Conspirators are using the name of BCL and these are the deeds of conspirators too", Saddam said denouncing the allegation.
"The programme collapsed because of their intetnal conflict. Chhatra League is not involved in this attack", he added.
