The overall number of global Covid cases has crossed 620 million.
According to the latest global data, the total case count mounted to 620,253,838 while the death toll reached 6,540,339 on Monday morning.
The US has recorded 97,905,915 cases so far and 1,081,715 people have died from the virus in the country, both highest counts around the world.
India's daily COVID-19 caseload has decreased, officials said.
According to federal health ministry data released on Sunday morning, 4,777 new cases of COVID-19 were reported during the past 24 hours, taking the total tally to 44,568,114 in the country.
The country also logged 23 related deaths during the past 24 hours, pushing the overall death toll to 528,510 since the beginning of the pandemic, the ministry said.
Covid in Bangladesh
Bangladesh reported two more Covid-linked deaths with 572 fresh cases in 24 hours till Sunday morning.
With the new numbers, country's total fatalities rose to 29,353 while the total caseload to 2,021,690, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
The daily case test positivity rate declined to 12.96 per cent from Saturday's 13.12 per cent as 4,413 samples were tested.
The mortality rate remained unchanged at 1.45 per cent while the recovery rate declined to 97.09 per cent respectively.
