Gallery Cosmos has announced a new prize for young artists who create digital art. Gallery Cosmos Next Generation, which comes with a cash award of up to Taka 1,000,000 is open to Bangladeshi artists aged 18 to 40 years old. They'll have til 28 February 2021 to submit their works - which could include digital paintings, video art, virtual reality artwork.
The award has two categories - Moving Image and Still Image. Three winners will be selected from each category. Submissions should reflect at least one of these themes:
1) Liberation struggle
2) Conservation and Sustainability
3) Digital Disruption
4) Feeding the World
"We are excited to be the first in Bangladesh to sponsor a Digital Art Competition, aimed to encourage our culturally diverse and technological advanced arts community". said Enayetullah Khan, Group President and Chairman of Gallery Cosmos.
