A unique poetry recitation production by Muktadhara
Muktadhara Sangshkrity Charcha Kendra (Muktadhara Cultural Practice Center), the country's renowned cultural organization has recently staged a unique poetry recitation production titled Sheikh Mujib Amar Pita' at the Shawkat Osman Memorial Auditorium of the Central Public Library on Friday, January 3. The production was staged marking the birth centenary of the father of the nation, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and the organization's 30th founding anniversary.
Largely based on Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's acclaimed book 'Sheikh Mujib Amar Pita', the unique recitation production consisted Rabindranath Tagore, Syed Shamsul Haque, Jasim Uddin, Mahadeb Saha, Faruk Hossain, Lutfor Rahman Riton, Abu Hena Abdul Awaal, Harlal Roy, Sarkar Amin, Fayzul Alam Pappu and Rajina Wali Leena's poetries, presented along with six songs, Bangabandhu's historic 7th March speech and another speech from 16th July, 1972 at the National Press Club, and recitation of four letters which Bangabandhu wrote to his father Sheikh Lutfor Rahman, wife Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib, daughter Sheikh Hasina and his mentor H. S. Suhrawardy.
Sammilita Sangshkritik Jote's President Golam Kuddus inaugurated the event. A total of 25 artists- Rajina Wali Leena, M Siddiqur Rahman Parvez, Jebun Nesa Khanam, Tahera Afroze, Sabrina Akhter Farhana, Shraboni Sarkar, Abida Sultana, Sadia Akhter Nipa, Mahmud Newaz Joy, Sabiha Mahbuba, Deen Mohammad Khan, Shrabonti Saha, Parvin Afroze Ivy, Abul Hossain Ador, Munmun Khan, Rabia Sultana Panna, Shafi Islam Usha, Abdullah Al Mamun, Nafisa Bushra Nawar, Mehedi Hasan Rashed, Halima Akhter Supti, Arif Shamsul, Md Pavel Mahmud, Tasnuva Rubaiya and Brishti Rani Roy performed the recitations.
