One of the most exclusive fashion events in the country, the TRESemmé Bangladesh Fashion Week 2020, successfully concluded on Saturday.
The three-day long event, arranged by TRESemmé, an internationally renowned American luxury brand, took place at the International Convention City, Bashundhara (ICCB).
Fashion Design Council of Bangladesh (FDCB) was the creative partner of the event.
30 designers and 3 hairstylists participated in the event, among which a total of 21 Bangladeshi and 9 foreign designers showcased their creativity through their amazing fashion collections.
Designers participated in the inaugural day (January 23) are - Nawshin Khair, Rima Naz, Tenzing Chakma, Rifat Rahman, Tasfia Ahmed, Sadia Hossain Mishu and Afsana Ferdousi from Bangladesh- alongside with Anuj Sharma and Ridhi Jain from India and Ajay Gururng from Nepal.
The seven Bangladeshi designers who showcased their collections on the following day (Friday, January 24) are - Shaibal Sinha, Farah Anjum Bari, Maheen Khan, Emdad Haque, Maria Sultana Mumu, Rupo Shams and Sharukh Amin- alongside with Sonali Dharmavardena (Sri Lanka) and two designers from India- Soumitra Mondal and Antar-Agni.
On the concluding day (Saturday, January 25), Bangladeshi designers including Lipi Khandker, Kuhu, Chandana Dewan, Sarah Karim, Riffat Reza Raka, Farah Diba and Faiza Ahmed, and three foreign designers- Alka Sharma and Asif Shaikh from India and Chandrika Tamang from Bhutan, tentalized everyone with their collections.
The jury board of this biggest fashion event of the year comprised with Maheen Khan (President), Emdad Haque (Vice President), Shaibal Saha (General Secretary), Chandana Dewan (Treasurer) and Kuhu, Farah Anjum Bari and Lipi Khandker as Executive Members.
The fashion event was titled 'Runway of Life' to promote positivity against the judgmental mindset of people. In line with that, a digital campaign was also preached by Unilever with the hashtag -- #DOITFORYOU.
