A song in honour of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman is on cards with voices from a hundred different nationalities. Titled 'Banganbandhu Tumi-I Bangladesh' was released on the occasion of the birth centenary of the Father of the Nation on March 17, 2020. It was released in hundred different global languages at the same time. All the SAARC member countries including Bangladesh took part with their singers. Also in the list of singers from different countries is an Englishman, French, Spanish, Arab, native speaker of Mandarin, Japanese, Malay, Portuguese, Korean, Vietnamese, Thai, Polish, Russian, Urdu speaker. Recording with a number of different language-speakers has already started.
Touhid Ethun has written the lyrics while Jadhu Richil has composed the song. Touhid Ehtun who is an Additional Deputy-Commissioner of Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime Unit of DMP used to practice music since his university days. Last International Mother Language Day on February 21 saw the release of his song 'Ekhusher Chetana.'
The song goes like this-Tumi Nipirito Manusher Jege Uthar Kabita/ Tumi Michhile Pratibade Uttal Slogan/ Tumi Sangrami Itihaash which translates as You are poetry for the awakening of oppressed people/ You are the slogan in demonstrations/ You are a rebellious history.
