Ahead of its premiere show a special show for press and othere guests will be held an hour earlier at 6pm on the same day. The drama has already participated in Asian Youth Theatre Festival, Singapore last year and reportedly found popularity there.
Director Saiful Islam said that the production holds up a proper example of the troubling lives of the Rohingyas staying in Bangladesh, an issue that still holds the global conscientiousness questionable.
In the drama is a Rohingya man named Jahir Uddin, who has fled the persecution in the Buddhist Myanmar and lost everything before finally finding refuge in Bangladesh. He lives with his family in the refugee camps in a tent made of polythene. The family stays within the boundaries of the tent most of the day and Jahir Uddin comes out only to beg for food thrice a day. A volunteer becomes curious at this strange attitude of the family and goes to the tent to find answers. There here learns about continuous hardship while living as Rohingyas in Rakhine, brutal massacre carried out by Myanmar army, jeers of Buddhist monks and also the loss of honour for women. Listening to this great magnitude of suffering the volunteer finds himself at a loss to do anything by his little self, he tries to control the situation helplessly. Thus the story moves on.
