Popular band Miles performed in different cities of Canada in September as part of its 40th founding anniversary World Tour.
The concerts respectively held in seven Canadian cities like Vancouver, Calgary, Winnipeg, Edmonton, Montreal, Ottawa and Toronto on September 1, 7, 15, 20, 21, 22 and 28.
The band performed its famous songs like "Nila Tumi Ki Jano Na", "Sesh Bikeler Alotey", "Chad Tara Surjjo Nou Tumi", "Ki Jadu", "Ami Kotokal Khujbo Tomay", "Dhikki Dhiki Agun Joley", "Phiriye Dao Amar e Prem Tumi and others at the concerts.
The band comprises Hamin Ahmed (vocal and guitar), Shafin Ahmed (vocal and bass), Manam Ahmed (keys and vocal), Syed Ziaur Rahman Turjo (drums and percussion) and Iqbal Asif Jewel (guitar and vocal).
Miles will conclude its tour after performing in Australia. The band will return to Bangladesh on October 31.
Miles is a Bangladeshi rock band formed in Dhaka in 1979 by Farid Rashid. It is one of the pioneering rock bands in Bangladesh. They helped develop the style of rock music in Bangladesh with their distinct Eastern musical influence fused with Western musical influences of Rock, Blues, Latin jazz etc. They are widely considered as one of the most popular rock bands in Bangladesh and West Bengal. They have released Ten studio albums and some compilation. The band came to public attention during the early and mid 1980s public music shows in Chambeeli Super Club and Hotel Intercontinental. They were part of the Bangladeshi rock scene that emerged in the early 1990s to mid 90s.
