Renowned thespian, actor and director Mamunur Rashid is going to receive Lifetime achievement award at 'Bottola Rangamala 2019' festival. The festival, which will be organised by the drama troupe 'Bottola' for the 3rd time, is scheduled to take place from November 16 to November 26. The drama troupe will hand over the award to Mamunur Rashid on the closing day of 'Bottola Rangamela 2019'.
Mamunur Rashid will be honoured with the lifetime achievement award for his immense contribution to country's theatre arena. Apart from this, the drama troupe will also honour eight thespians from eight divisions across the country. This year, a new award titled 'Antaraler Shommanona' will be given to the theatre activists who work tirelessly behind the scenes of a drama.
The 11-day long 'Bottola Rangamela 2019' festival will be held at the Liberation War Museum, Agargaon in the city. The festival will be inaugurated by the noted thespian Ataur Rahman. State Minister of Cultural Affairs KM Khalid MP will be the chief guest at the inaugural ceremony. Three emerging playwrights----- Shadhona Ahmed, Ruma Modak and Shuvashis Sinha will take part at the inaugural ceremony as special guests.
