'Iti, Tomari Dhaka' will now take part in an Indian film festival dedicated only for independent films. The omnibus project, the first of its kind in Bangladesh, will participate in the competitive section in "Independent Film Festival of Chennai." The festival will start from February 8 and run till February 10. Thirty films will be screened in the festival. Recently the film took part in another Indian film festival. In the prestigious Jaipur International Film Festival the film was selected as the opening film. Not only that, the film also won the Best Original Screenplay Award in the festival.
'Iti, Tomari Dhaka' has been selected for another Indian festival named the "9th Kolhapur International Film Festival." To start its journey, 'Iti, Tomari Dhaka' got released through yet another film festival. In the Busan Film Festival, South Korea the film had its world premiere last year in October.
In total eleven young and new directors have worked in 'Iti, Tomari Dhaka', each contributing with a different story. Among the directors are Nuhash Humayun, Mir Mokarram Hossain, Golam Kibria Farooki, Rahat Rahman, Krishnendu Chattapadhyay, Rabiul Alam Robi, Syed Saleh Ahmed Sobhan and more.
