Popular rock band LRB stepped into its twenty-ninth year on April 5. On the founding anniversary the band announced that they have included their new vocalist-cum-guitarist- popular musician Balam. Balam would play the role of late rock legend Ayub Bachchu in the band. Ayub Bachchu passed away in October last year. This year marked the first time that the band had to celebrate the founding anniversary without the founding father-Ayub Bachchu. The celebration was organised at a city hotel where the new vocalist was announced. Also present at the event were rock musicians Fuad Naser Babu, Elita Karim and more.
Balam on his part said, "Elder brother Bachchu was a legend. I plead everyone to not to consider me as a replacement for Brother Bachchu. I cannot be like him. But I would keep up my efforts to support LRB, which is a big name for everyone. I request everyone to pray for me so that I can uphold the creations of Bachchu brother in my voice and guitar." Balam has long been engaged with another popular band Warfaze.
LRB Manager-Shamim Ahmed said, "Brother Bachchu was a guardian for us all. Despite his demise we are continuing with band with his love. Since his departure we had been wondering about how we could sustain the band. Finally we have got Balam to restart our journey. Hopefully everyone would be by our side."
