Newly formed executive committee members of the WildTeam, a conservation organization.
The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the WildTeam board, a conservation organization, was held at its head office at Cosmos Centre, Malibagh here on July 25.
The AGM elected a five-member executive committee comprising Mr Enam Ul Haque as the Chairman of the board, Mr Md Shamsur Rahman as the Vice-chairman, Professor Md Anwarul Islam as the General Secretary, Dr Gawsia Wahidunnessa Chowdhury as the Treasurer and Mr Enayetullah Khan as a member.
Mr Enam Ul Haque is the founder president of Bangladesh Bird Club.
Former Chairman Mr Enayetullah Khan thanked all the board members and congratulated the newly elected executive committee members.
WildTeam has been carrying out its activities to improve the conservation status of key animal species and habitats in Bangladesh, and developing partnerships, tools, and platforms to build the capacity of organizations and individuals to carry out effective conservation measures in the country.
This year WildTeam is implementing 'Integrated Tiger Habitat Conservation Programme' in collaboration with Wildlife Trust of India with financial assistance from IUCN-KFW.
One of the objectives of this programme is to make three villages as 'tiger tolerant villages' in Satkhira district.
