The last film scenes captured by late cinematographer Anowar Hossain has been screened. The scenes are part of a short film titled "Bhalobasha". It has been directed by Shuvra Goswami. Story is from Shahidul Jahir and screenplay by Shawon Koiri while music has been composed by Pintu Ghosh. The fifteen minute long film was premiered yesterday at Shawkat Osman Smrity Auditorium of Central Public Library, Shahbagh in the capital.
Prior to the film screening a documentary on the works of Anowar Hossain was screened before the audience. Among the audience veteran members o Bangladesh's film movement were present to elaborate on the life and works of Anowar Hossain. Also expected to be present was Masihuddin Shaker, co-director of the film Surja Dighal Bari for which Anowar Hossain got his first National Film Award. Anowar Hossain's photographic skills were also instrumental behind Emiler Goyenda Bahini, Puraskar, Anya Jibon, Lalsalu and more. He passed away on December1.
Bhalobasha casts TV drama actress Moushumi Hamid, Deepak Sumon and child artiste Slogan. About Anowar Hossain's contributions in the film the director Shuvra Goswami said, "The cinematographer of this film, Anowar Hossain is one of the greatest cinematographers of Bangladeshi cinema. This was his last project as cinematographer. The premiere show of this film has been dedicated to him.
