Country's first omnibus film 'Eti, Tomari Dhaka' is going to be launched on Netflix, world's largest online streaming platform for TV series, shows and films, this month. Although creative director Abu Shahed Emon confirmed the news of Netflix premiere of 'Eti, Tomari Dhaka', he did not announce any fix date. Netflix has around 16 crore subscribers across the world. Apart from 'Eti, Tomari Dhaka', the only film from Bangladesh which has been already added to the library of Netflix is 'Komola Rocket'. Produced by Impress Telefilm Ltd, the director of this film is Noor Imran Mithu.
Earlier, after being screened at numerous international film festivals across the world, 'Eti, Tomari Dhaka' was released in cinemas on November 15. Produced by Impress Telefilm Ltd, 'Eti, Tomari Dhaka' amalgamates 11 stories from 11 young filmmakers to make a compact story. Running time of the film is 134 minutes.
The film sheds light on the lifestyle of the dwellers of Dhaka. Each segment of it depicts the struggle faced to survive by the lower middle class and middle class people, who reside in the capital---Dhaka. Although the theme of this film is solely based on the lifestyle of Dhaka, people across the country can relate their lives with every moment of the film.
Names of the 11 directors of the film are---Golam Kibria Farooki, Krishnendu Chattopadhyay, Mahmudul Islam, Mir Mukarram Hossain, Nuhash Humayun, Rahat Rahman, Robiul Alam Robi, Tanim Noor, Syed Ahmed Shawki, Saleh Sobhan Auneem and Tanvir Ahsan.
