A prestigious International Networking Business Dinner was held at the five-star Dhaka Regency Hotel and Resort, hosted by Musleh Ahmed, Founder Director of Dhaka Regency yesterday. The Chief Guest, Humaiun Kabir, Foreign Affairs Adviser to the BNP Chairman and Joint Secretary General of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), addressed the audience and stressed the importance of strengthening international relations and private-sector cooperation to accelerate economic growth. He highlighted the role of overseas Bangladeshi entrepreneurs in promoting investment, innovation, and sustainable development in the country.
The programme was further honoured by the presence of Special Guest Dr Wali Tasar Uddin MBE, Honorary Consul General of Bangladesh in Scotland and President of the Europe Bangladesh Federation of Commerce and Industry (EBFCI). In his remarks, Dr Uddin emphasised the significance of structured engagement between local and international business communities and reaffirmed EBFCI's commitment to enhancing trade and investment links between Europe and Bangladesh.
Senior delegates from the British Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BBCCI) and the Europe Bangladesh Federation of Commerce and Industry (EBFCI) attended the event, reflecting strong institutional support for cross-border business collaboration. Among the notable attendees were Mohib Chowdhury, Abdul Momen, Mesba Chowdhury, Mohammad Ali Tinku, along with many other respected figures from the business and community sectors.
Throughout the evening, participants engaged in constructive discussions on investment opportunities, bilateral trade, tourism, hospitality, and future collaboration, while enjoying cultural entertainment in an informal and welcoming setting. The gathering also served as a platform to explore partnerships across key sectors, including infrastructure, real estate, hospitality, and international trade.
